Harry Potter

I have read every single Harry Potter book 10 times. My favourite book is Goblet of Fire because it isn’t very complicated and there is lots of adventures.

The series I am recommending is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
I would recommend this series to anyone who likes a lot of adventure in books with a little bit of mystery and tension in them too.
The series is about a young wizard named Harry Potter whose parents have been killed by the darkest wizard who ever lived, Lord Voldemort/ “You-know-who”. Harry is raised by his aunt and uncle (who despise him) and never told him what really happened when he was a baby nor who he really is. Harry is then taken to Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry and throughout the series has to overcome and defeat Lord Voldemort/ “You-know-who” along with various obstacles.
I recommend this series to all ages children, teenagers and adults.
The order of the series is: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter Day

I always think of the summer when you mention Harry Potter. It is 20 years since the first Harry Potter hit the book shops and 10 years since the Deathly Hallows, but each book was published in the summer and that is when I read them. I can still recall reading about Dumbledore’s last battle and how Harry and the others reacted. I was sitting in the car on the way to visit a castle on hols with tears dripping off my chin.

Grandpa’s Great Escape

Grandpa’s Great Escape

By David Walliams
Grandpa’s Great Escape is about a young boy called Jack and his Grandpa who thinks he is still in world war two-  adventures in the past. When Jack’s Grandpa gets sent to Twilight Towers how will he escape?
My favourite character is Grandpa as he is funny and has dementia so he doesn’t know what’s happening.
This book is a thriller and comedy. I would recommend this book to 9-12 year olds and older people as they may be able to relate to it.
I would rate this book a 4 and a half out of five

Grandpa’s Great Escape

Grandpa’s great escape by David Walliams.

This book is about Jack. His grandpa doesn’t remember things very well and still believes he is fighting in world war II.When he gets sent to an old folks home the deadly Matron Swine is waiting for trouble.
This book includes both comedy and adventure.
I recommend this book to  keystage 2 (ages 7-12)  but not any older as they wouldn’t enjoy it.
